Hello im new to the forum and dont know if im posting in the right area but ill fire away anyway.
Basically ive been training 5 days a week over the last few months and am hoping to tone up while increasing my fitness levels. Trouble is i have this nagging idea the regime i have is not correct and may not be balanced correctly. i have lost weight and am toning a bit but dont seem to be getting any way of a solid outcome. im thinking maybe im doing too much cardio or maybe not resting enough, anyway id appreciate if some of you more seasoned trainers could have a look and let me know if the regime is ok, or am i doing myself more damage than anything. Thanks in advance.
Mon/wed/fri mornings (takes 90 to 100 minutes)
Cardio
20 min exercise bike
20 min crosstrainer
20 min threadmill (sprint bursts 2 min walk 1 min and repeat)
Weight circuit
Circuit is done one exercise quickly after the other with only rest after 1 circuit is complete, sets 3, reps of ten, weights 70% of usuall lifting capacity
Bench press 10 reps
seated leg push machine 10 reps (not sure of the name of exercise but its for hamstring area)
pec deck 10 reps
barbell squats 10 reps
stomach crunch 10 reps
bent over dumbell flies 10 reps
inclined bench press 10 reps
leg extension machine 10 reps
preacher curls 10 reps
seated cable pull 10 reps
lat pulldown 10 reps
Tricep curls or extensions 10 reps
Tuesday/ thursday mornings ( Takes 1 hour)
Cardio
20 min crosstrainer
20 min threadmill (jogging)
Stomach and back class
22 various stomach exercises 10 reps of each.
8 various exercises for lower back 10 reps of each.
Tuesday and Thursday evening i do 1 hour boxing, bag and pad work only.
