hi all, I'm new to the dieting world and was wondering what you all think the best/quickest way to lose weight?

I am currently calorie counting and drinking green tea everyday, as well as exercising when I can: what do you suggest I do?

Thanks all

That's exactly it. Calorie counting helps keep your calories consistent as well as understand the speed of your metabolism. Diet is the most important part of losing weight.

Exercising, including a healthy dose of weight training. If you haven't read it yet, you can't burn fat without muscle. More muscle = faster calorie burning. As a women, you don't have to worry about "bulking up" doing weights. If you are really concerned, just keep the reps high (15-20)

Hi Charlotte & welcome to the forum. The best way to lose weight is usually not the quickest way. Your calories should be healthy calories & your "diet" should be sustainable in the long run. As allcdnboy says diet is the most important part of losing weight. Take it all slowly & keep improving your diet. Determination & perseverance will get you there. Cheers, Cate.

My advice would be to cut out bread altogether...that way, I was losing a pound a week. Which is healthy and on track. If u want to boost weight loss, cut out potatoes, pasta and rice. That way, u ll lose about two or three pounds per week. But just make sure u are supplementing those carbs with other nutrient rich foods, such as broccoli, chicken and green leafy veg.xx
