Hi there
I was once an example of successful weight loss and health. I lost plenty, and exercised plenty and felt great. I've let some of that go to waist now, and I'm battling to find my way.
I have recently gained weight, and lost some fitness, due to sugar addiction and binge eating, which seems to be coming from feelings of sadness and stress, and now it's just a bad habit as well. I need to do something.
I plan to simply eat healthily, and keep refined carbs mostly out (not completely). I will avoid all sugar for atleast the first week. For some reason I always get very stressed at some stage while attempting to gain back my health. It mostly happens in the afternoon, and this could be due to both craving sugar, and feeling stressed to run (which I want to make more of a habit of doing). Here's what I will eat:
Low gi whole wheat bread, dairy such as cheese, yoghurt milk (no low fat), fruit, butter, peanut butter, and when It comes to supper I will eat what my family eats. This isn't usually too unhealthy but can include refined carbs like pasta (I'm not worried about these suppers, I've lost plenty of weight before while including the, and felt healthy too).
If I just keep eating this way, and getting myself to run almost every day, will my mind and body become stronger? Will the stress eventually decrease and will the desire to binge and the cravings die down? I'm pretty sure they will, but I often worry that it won't get better and will just always be hard, which causes me to binge on sugar as an escape from ugly stressful feelings.
Answers to my questions and any advice is greatly appreciated.
