Recently, when I stand up, or bend over, or get really winded, I get kind of cold in my face and start having what you'd call tunnel vision and feeling very faint. I haven't ever passed out because of it, but it's annoying and I am kind of worried about it. I stopped taking my multivitamin a couple of weeks ago, sometime in early august, but I'm not sure it's that that's having an effect. My dad says it could be low blood pressure, but I can't find the blood pressure thingy anywhere in the house. At school one day, someone took my blood pressure and it was high, but that was 30 pounds ago.

Also, quite a few years ago in gym I started feeling the same way and I went to the nurse and she said my blood pressure was really low. I went and did some tests at the hospital, and they didn't find anything, but I had to stop on the treadmill test before I started feeling like that because the treadmill was sitting on a cord that made it difficult to keep my balance because it wasn't level. They didn't redo the test, but now I think they should have.

I don't know... could it be a vitamin deficiency (like Iron?) or do you think it could be low blood pressure?

Thanks in advance guys.

If you're on medication for blood pressure your symptoms could be explained by that. See your doc about that.

If your BP is too low it could be caused by something as easy to fix as dehydration or by something as serious as aortic stenosis, pericarditis, or a pulmonary embolism.

You need to speak to your doctor; even if people here were qualified to make a diagnosis (and I'd bet the vast majority of us are not), it's not really ethical for someone to diagnose you over the 'net without examining you.

See your doctor. Better safe than sorry.

Yeah I kind of figured that in the back of my mind, but thanks.

Oh, and I'm not on meds for blood pressure. I'll try drinking more water for now, but I will see my doctor.

:)

Good. I'm not trying to be bitchy or anything; it's just that those are questions for your doc, not for the people here. I know when you get worried about a particular symptom you want answers right freaking now; I'm the same way. I google stuff and get all panicky, then my doc slaps me on the wrist and tells me to quit doing that. Well, my old doc in the UK did that anyway; she would literally reach across the desk and slap my hand. She would rant and rave about how wikipedia and WebMD should be banned. :hurray: I once went in convinced that I had ovarian cancer and my doc looked at me like I was completely deranged. (I didn't, of course.)

I'd be willing to bet that owing to your age, it's probably not anything serious. It's better to know, though. If your BP gets too low you could faint and seriously injure yourself when you fall, even if it's caused by dehydration!

Yeah, I see what you mean. Thanks.
:)
I should hope it isn't anything- I do take quite a few medicines, so I think I need to check in with my doctor to make sure nothing's messed up.

:D Thanks again

Hey, it seems to be helping, but my parents are concerned I'm drinking too MUCH water... how much is too much?:willy_nilly:
