Addicted to sugar - HELP

Hey

I'm 20 years old and have tried for the last few months to lose a bit of weight. I ideally want to lose 20 pounds but am really struggling. I eat good healthy meals and have started exercising properly and often the last couple weeks. But I have a problem with sugar, particularly chocolate. I can't get enough of it and am always craving it! It's definitely stopping me from losing weight and whenever I do lose a few pounds I gain them all back with the nasty stuff!

I'd love some help with how to overcome my problem and have people to talk to about my weight loss journey!

Thanks x

Welcome to the forum!

The problem with sugar is that it makes you crave more sugar. You could try paying attention to what foods keep you full for longer and which ones promote hunger. Things like starches and such can make you hungry a few hours later after you've eaten them.

As for chocolate, you don't need to cut it off completely but try not to over eat. You can try dark chocolate (be careful with the calories though!) instead of the regular one, it has antioxidants and it's generally better than the regular one.
