Hey Everybody,

i am 16 years old and im in great condition i guess. i work out alot and i run alot. im a ref so i hav to run alot. i drink alot though but i dont smoke. I hav the worst cases of Acne. i guess this is the last place where i can post this question: How Can i Get rid of my acne?

When I take ZMA and Trib @ the same time I get some acne on my shoulders.. not too bad.. Anyways I use this St Ives medicated apricot scrub, and that clearasil ultra.. Shower twice a day and srcub the sh*t out of it.. It goes away ina week.. I'd imagine this would work for your face..

I use Proactiv or an equivalent. Meaning, I go to Wal-Mart or Costco and buy the same thing for half off. It works well but I never had a huge problem with acne until I started effing with my face trying to get rid of it.

I'd say if you naturally have really bad acne, see a doctor/dermatologist. I've had many friends who have had to get advanced treatment like antibiotics and stuff. Just don't eff with it a lot.

I've had the bad acne - cystic acne, where its larger, deeper acne cysts, which are painful and last for weeks if not months, and never form any kind of 'head' to pop. I tried every antibiotic, plus Retin-A. Nothing did a whole lot, until I went on Accutane. its not a very fun drug, and it wrecks havoc on your liver (I couldn't complete my whole treatment because my blood triglyceride level hit 1430) but it works.

You'll need good health insurance to afford monthly blood tests, the frequent doctor's visits, but mostly the $5 per pill prescription.

Due to your age I would reckon its pretty normal to have acne, an over the counter thing should help. I used OXY or Stridex when I was your age on my face, worked alright. If I eat too much dairy my face still breaks out even at 31.
You also said there drink alot, I almost always get a few zits after a weekend bender.

Doesn't hurt to see a doctor though, I too had acne that was unlikely to go away on my shoulders and got sent to a specialist who had me try minocin for a few months but then went for Accutane which worked.

I don't have Acne but I get whiteheads(zits ) & blackheads the best advice I can give you is wash your face as often as possible, I try at least 3 times a day (morning , Noon if possible & after dinner). If you have a serious case then that might not be enough.

Yeah the bad acne needs the hardcore stuff. I know a few people that were/are on Accutane and it pretty much set them straight. If it isn't the deep scarring ones and aren't that serious, then ointments and commercial stuff sounds like it could get at that. If it's the really bad stuff, see a doc.

how much water do you drink a day?
