i recently lost 90 pnds and joined cross country, and it is now track season, i am decently fast but i know i need good abs to get more fast...i have a huge layer of fat even though the major weight loss i went into ( i was 260, am now 170pnds) i have tried doing endless amounts of abs everyday 150-200 crunchies a day, but this is not enough, i have a huge layer of body fat still and i cant get rid of the fat, and i cant get abs, it seems impossible...
this summer it is my goal to reach 2000 miles by the end of the summer, about 22-25+ miles a day for cross training with a variety of workouts like speed training and hill repeats everyday, and these ab diets i look up are all really strict on how i have to cut what i eat, cut the calories...was wondering if there is any specific or good tips on how i can lose the fat according to my high amount of cardio and get abs? any tips on what i should eat? breakfast? lunch? dinner? ab variety workouts? please help *begs* i need some experienced advice

Well you shouldnt really be doing so many crunches in a day. 3 sets of like 15 2-3 times weekly would be just fine, with all the running and stuff your doing, your getting good ab training in that way. I'm not some super fitness guru or anything but plenty of protein is always a must, getting some lean meats is better than shakes and stuff. I know your going forendurance stuff but weightlifting should really be part of your workouts, they definitely help big time.

If you want to try supplements citrulline malate is supposed to be awesome for endurance excercise, youll be able to go faster, and by the way it does work lol.

bulk nutrition has a special on it right now........bulknutrition.com

if you are pumping out that many ab exercises, then you need to find something more difficult. but don't fret, because you are still building your abs, so don't stop ... you just can't see them. Doing ab exercises does not burn the fat around your stomach, only cardio and proper diet can do that. Also, the stronger (bigger) your abs get, the more it'll push your stomach out, possibly making you look even bigger around the stomach then you actually are. Just keep up with the running and proper nutrition and you will slowly start seeing the abs come through.
