I have seen no one eating 10,000c a day, and needing 3,000c, and wearing a ab belt, with iron busten abs. I wish these infomercials were outlawed, really. I mean this in a nice way, its the diet, and the person and/or persons wearing these gimmicks got there lean torsos through DIET not the gimick there selling.
THere is an electronic pulse where they say contracts the torso when wearing the belt, since the nervious system runs sort of off of electronic impulses--this is the short version. And NOPE, this isnt going to give you abs. Having a good diet complemented with good exercise, and give it time, and MUCH willpower...............and your on yor way.
Are ab belts affective? I have one and was wondering if i used it would it really make much diiference to my ab's, visability wise? If it does, will that mean i will have to keep using it to maintain this look?
What do you lot think about them?
You mean those belts that you wear with the dial in the center that sends some kind of shock to your abs? If that's what you're talking about, then I seriously doubt it will make any difference to the visibility of your abs. Most "abs" machine tones the muscles in your abs, but it does do anything else. If all you had to do was wear a belt to get abs, everyone would be in super great shape.
Personally, I don't get where these infomercials get these "before & after" pictures. It seems like some of them were photo shopped where healthy fit people are added with "fat" to make it appear as if they lost something when they really lost nothing. Or it could be rare exceptions where people used the device they advertised, but they got in shape doing other activities as well.
The worst infomercials I think are those diet pills. Almost all of them say to eat healthy and exercise to lose weight, and weight loss occurs doing the two regardless of the pill. On top of that, they trick people into believing that it's the fault of their genetics when the pill doesn't work. Kind of sad to see this happen as it probably caused a lot of people to lose their self-esteem because they truly believe that they can never lose the weight.
