A-Z of Supplement Effectiveness

Basically I have jsut started working out and i would like a non-biased opinion on supplements. There are many questions i have but i would most like to know a few points;
1)Whats the difference between different proteins? And which is best?
2)How much protein should I consume with each shake? and how often should I shake?
3)Do Creatine tablets work? and Tablets vs Powder?
4)Also any other supplements recommended?
My main aim of working out is muscle gain. Also if anyone knows of a place where i can get supplements cheaply would be a massive help as I am a student and money is a concern.
Thanks in Advance
Adam

1. read the stickies
2. read the stickies (about 1g of protein per pound of body weight, per day...evenly across all 5-7 meals consumed)
3. Yes, as long as you understand what creatine actually does. Powder tends to be cheaper than tablet form, but slightly less portable. Main thing: you need NOTHING more fancy than 100% pure creatine monohydrate, which should be under $20 for a 500g canister. (this is also in the stickies...)
4. ...did you read the stickies?

Post where you live too. I only know of supplement stores in the USA. Canadians and European members can help you if you live in those countries.
