A Spot of Poetry

Hello everyone. I would like to share a poem I wrote with everybody. Please let me know what you think and feel free to look at my other works.

I really liked it, kind of depressing :p but very well written.

Are these your views of the world right now or just America?

I'd say the world as a whole but of course I'm looking at the world as somebody who lives in the USA and came of age right around 9/11. (I was a month shy of 16 when it happened)

Here's my response to the idea of the poem (not the poem itself)
Anyone can see the hate and anger in society.
Watch the news. Walk into any bar.
Go to a crowded shopping center. Visit any inner city.
It takes an enlightened person to see the good in people.
It takes a saint to bring out the good in people.
Anyone can be a saint, all it takes is patience and a good heart.

You're very spot on Monster. Do we have to accept that things are the way they are OR can we can our future into one that is better? Somebody else responded with the quote "To hate is human;to love is divine." It takes somebody who is able to look past the mundane to understand what this truly means.
