I've been looking through this forum for awhile now and finally got the courage to join. Reading some of the posts I realized that i'm not alone in wanting to better life physically, mentally, and emotionally. So, please let me introduce myself. My name is Cassondra but you all can call me Cassie or Sondra. I'm 37yrs old and weighing at 521 but my highest weight was 550 and still have a long way to go. I live in the "sunshine" state (Florida) but at the moment it seems to be the stormy state. My reasoning for joining is the same as the rest the join who need, and wants to give, support to others trying to lose weight. Don't want to go into long stories about the past only looking forward to the future and making sure I have a future to live. I have two goals set that I want to get to the first one is to get to 250 the other is to someday day go back to disney world and can't really do that at the weight I am. Not saying 250 is the lowest i want but it my first main goal with a whole lot on mini goals between like 10lbs a month depending how it goes.

I'll stop for now and hope you all are having great day
Thanks for reading
Cassondra

Hi, Cassie & welcome to the forum. Well done on deciding to make positive changes to improve your health outcomes. Taking that first step is the hardest. You may want to start a diary, where you can record your progress, share your thoughts & get great support. It is a very friendly place & you will find you have more in common with most folk than differences. You'll find it at https://weight-loss.fitness.com/forums/weight-loss-diary.9/

Hello, Cassie! Good to meet you! I see you've already lost nearly thirty pounds, which is a really good beginning in percentage terms. Best wishes for the next thirty - and so on to your goal! :)

Hey Cassie, Welcome!

You have done well to lose 30 lbs, for a lot of us getting started is the hardest and you've done that now. I suggest you try posting your food here every day for a while, I find it helps. It keeps me both more aware of what I am eating and more accountable. Even if you eat something you did not plan to eat write it down, it will help you.

On goals, I have found it most helpful to focus on a single goal, to eat right today. If I can stick to that then all else will work out.

I lived in Florida for many years, but moved out a couple of years back. I really like Florida! You will probably recognize the stone crab in my avatar, not many others here do.

Stay with us, we can do this together!

Welcome! You’ve come to the right place. As others have said starting a diary may work very well for you. This journey you’ve begun is all about you. What works for you, what you enjoy and what you will do.

Remember the best fitness or weight loss plan is the one you can commit to. Don’t get sucked into scams or plans promising the world.

Hi Cassie. I am new comer here as well, and I am already getting very good experience here. i like your thinking of having focus on the future instead of looking at the past. Everything is possible, so I pray for you to achieve your goal and stay motivated. :)

Hi Cassie, I am also a new comer. I know you will feel the unconditional support and motivation here. Keep up the good work.

Hi Cassondra, welcome to the forum! It sounds like you've been off to a good start already! That is great! I hope things have been going well for you so far.
