Sport A little insight please

Sport Fitness
Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and new to the fitness lifestyle. I'm 26, 5'11" and 207 lbs. I hope to reach a nice slim athletic build of 185-190 by June and keep it there forever. I just had a few examples and a few questions for everyone or anyone who wants to lend some insight. Here it goes.

I want to start eating a lot better than before with no fast food at all, and maybe a restaurant once every two months. The only problem is I don't know what to eat. Below is an example on what I have packed for todays meals while at work from 7-3:30pm while I'm at my first job. I also work my second job 3 days a week from 5-10pm and don't eat there since I'm a bartender.

Today:

8:00am - A banana
9:00am - 1 1/2 cups Whole Bran cereal with 2% milk (I don't drink the milk just use it for flavor and to wet the cereal then dump it when finished)
10:00am - Another Banana
11:30am - Wheat wrap filled with about 1 1/2 servings southwest seasoned chicken (shortcuts by perdue), 1/2 serving brown rice, and 1 ounce fat free cheese.
1:30pm - white seedless grapes
3:30pm - a 100 cal snack pack.

Through out the day I also try to drink a gallon of water, yesterday I only made it to 98 ounces today I have to step it up a little.

I'm not big on veggies except for corn, potatoes, carrots, greenbeans and lettuce rarely.

What fruits are safe to eat as much as you want to as snacks?? I'm trying not to depend on 100 cal snacks or other gimmick food cause it's not filling and leaves you wanting more.

Also anything that need changes or sample plans of what you guys and gals eat?

The more fruits and veggies, the better. Drop the snack packs and try to get in a protien, carb and good fat source with every meal.

you are going to regret all those bananas the next day. LOL

I would learn to like fruits and veggies. there is so much great nutrition in them. Beef Jerky would be a better snack then those 100 calorie snack packs. They are just total junk.

I wouldn't totally cut out dairy either. I don't think its healthy to cut all of a certain food group.
