a few questions

has anyone tried the south beach? i want to give it a go but it seems a little complicated, the recipes look a bit overly complex, which is why i usually stuck to low calorie diets.

are there any fruits and vegetables that are really high in calories, i know potatos are, but is there anything else i should avoid?

and im wondering if you can go too low with calories, like if i have too few ive heard you can put weight on cos your body thinks your starving.

Do you have the book? If not I would suggest you get it because there is alot of great info on it as well as some good recipes in the back (even though I am currently on weight watchers I make some of the recipes now such as the Greek salad YUM). I also have the South Beach Quick and Easy cookbook which has some great recipes.
Personally I think the diet (at least the first 2 weeks) is kind of expensive but that's because I was always trying to find alot of variety. Of course it doesn't have to be expensive. The first 2 weeks does really help with diminishing cravings though.
If I remember correctly you don't have fruit the first 2 weeks. As for veggies, anything high in carbs such as corn and potatoes have to be avoided the first 2 weeks.
Hope this helps.
