A bit of help please?

I'm a 5ft1 19 year old girl and I weigh about 130 lbs. I'd love to go to the gym but it's far away and I don't have transportation so everything I do will have to be at home. I'm trying to get down to 110 lbs hopefully by june if possible because that is when I am going on a trip.I have asthma and after too many jumping jacks I can barely breathe but I have an inhaler for that. I have talked to my doctor and she said I need to exercise to keep my heart strong because I had a heart problem when I was younger. Anyway, what exercises can I do at home to lose weight and tone up? I have 3 lb dumbbells at home. How many calories should I eat a day? How many time a week should I exercise? So many questions..

I'm not sure where to start. =/

bump! I could really use some advice..

First of all start slowly, try doing squats if it is not too hard for you, then when you get used to doing them add dumbbells.

Example would be:

stretching

10 squats

10 fast lifting of dumbbells

10 squats

10 fast lifting of dumbbells

10 squats

10 fast lifting of dumbbells

and then go for 20,etc

or if your health permits, try jumping rope

There are lots of exercises you can do without a gym. Whatever you pick has to be something that you like. I personally like to enter races, so I train to run 5 and 10Ks. I like having a purpose where the focus is not weight loss (it's a great byproduct!) As far as nutrition goes - everyone is different and each country has different guidelines. I would start by using your country's food guide and try to make healthy choices - once you are eating well and exercising regularly you can start to make changes. Good luck and have fun! Remember that it is a lifestyle change - not just a quick fix to look good on your trip.

I believe she means she got a good advice from here and will be able to make use of them :) I hope I am right on it. :D
