This past weekend I went back to an old habit I used to have--a good habit, that is! When I made pizza for my family on Friday night, I made mine on portobello mushroom caps rather than using the regular crust. I was reminded again how much I absolutely LOVE it. Didn't miss my homemade crust at all!


Using the mushrooms is not only a great way to cut out some starchy carbs, it's a fabulous way to work more of those vegetables into your diet! Try it, you may love it, too!
 
I'm not a big fan of veggies on my pizza unless its onion. Do you have any suggestions?
 
@ lifesweat - that's a great idea! I've done this with both beef and turkey burgers, but never thought of it for anything else! It's a great gluten-free meal idea!
