6'4" and 25 with a big frame: realistically, how much can I lose?

Here's my situation: I'm recovering from a long stretch of serious depression and basically couldn't get out of bed for a few months, other than to work and to eat and use the bathroom. Now that I'm doing well again and have the will to succeed, I'd like to lose a lot of weight. As I'll explain, I've already done a lot of work; I want to know how much more I can actually do.

I'm a hair's width over 6 feet 4 inches tall. I have a big frame: barrel chest, 80" arm span and natural muscularity. I never had to lift in order to have big muscles. At the age of 17 I was around 250lbs, give or take a few. I boxed in college, and at my lightest weighed between 235 and 245 lbs. I have big strong thighs and calf muscles, and have a penchant for cycling and swimming. I've painted the picture. Basically, I'm a big guy.

Now, I lost a lot of weight prior to making this post. Around five months ago, I weighed 352 lbs. At the moment, I weigh 300 lbs. I'm a little soft around the core, but I by no means have what most people would call a belly. My stomach muscles are rock-solid underneath a comparatively thin layer of fat; when I flex, my ribs and core are pretty visible. I'm not opposed to cutting muscle if I have to, and I realize that this is often what happens during extreme weight loss, anyway.

How much more weight can I actually expect myself to lose? Ideally, I'd like to be around 250, but could even see myself getting down to 235 again. I'm not sure what my natural weight is, or how I can even go about determining that number. I'm looking for advice. I've seen a doctor, but he just told me to get out of bed, which misses the point. I'd like some genuine guidance.

Thanks. I apologize if this is the wrong forum in which to post.

Realistically you can lose as much as you want. I started off as a tiny 176 pound teenager and bulked up to 276 pounds for powerlifting. I had a lot of fat on me and now I am down to 205 pounds with a 6 pack.

If you have 20% body fat, you can lose anywhere from 20-45 pounds without sacrificing muscle. Don't decrease your calorie intake below your BMR.

There are some members here who have lost a lot and are still loosing, I would suggest reading the diary of Quercus who is one of the male members here who has achieved what you are looking to achieve.

firstly i would like to ask you, what are you eating everyday? because it is not as simple as cutting down the carbs, the calories etc. to lose weight you would need to be in a state of great health, otherwise you are severely damaging your health so even if you find yourself losing weight it would not mean a healthy loss of weight, sick people find themselves losing or gaining weight because their health is deteriorating, now i am not calling you sick/ill but do tell me what you are eating daily so i can tell you exactly what you are missing and what you need to do to change your life for the better.
