I know it sounds extreme, but did this a couple of years ago and not only did it work (40 lbs 4 weeks) but I managed to keep the weight off for YEARS.
My story, I used to be 110 lbs, I'm 5 5, but gained weight over the last two years and now I'm 170 lbs. I have a VERY important event at the end of February so that's why I need this rapid weight loss method. PLEASE no negative comments. I've also lost weight a "healthier way" in other occasions, this is just for this time. Please let me know if you want to lose some weight and I'll be more than HAPPY to motivate you!!!! <3 I will be blogging my progress EVERYDAY on this thread, calories eaten, calories burned, and weight lost. :)

Hey Skinny, welcome to the forum!

I suppose you know your proposed diet and weight loss are more aggressive than most folks here would like, but don't let that alone deter you. Have you spoken to your doctor about this? I know some people have done this very low calorie approach with medical supervision and it has worked out fine.

I have what many here consider a too low calorie diet, and have lost over 80 pounds in the last 8 months, but I target between 1,000 and 1,200 calories a day. I try hard to keep it well balanced, and I did discuss it with my doctor, but that is a lot more calories than you are talking about. For me it works, and my doctor says that so long as I am feeling good and not weak or anything the health benefits outweigh the risks, but that is just me, it may not be true for others.

A good thing about this place is most of us do not judge others, only when people fear for your health will they jump in, its mostly about support. If you tell me that you have discussed this with your doctor and he is ok with it I will certainly support you. Best of luck to you, and I look forward to reading about your progress!

Good luck with your progress. I use to do something like a couple of years back and lost a good amount of weight. I might want to try something like that I find that when I'm the more strict one myself self I gain the most results. I don't know if I would go that low on calories but to each there own I guess.

I used to be 110 lbs, I'm 5 5

Is this your goal weight ? if so it may be worth reconsidering, as this is underweight for your height. This forum is aimed at healthy weight loss.

As @alligatorob pointed out extreme calorie restriction is generally not healthy and should only be done in partnership with a health professional.

Slow and steady wins the race.
