Sport 6 Small Meals A Day?

A lot of people on these boards keep singing the praises of eating 5 or 6 small meals a day to keep the metabolism up....What's considered some healthy small meals? Can you post a days worth, so I can get an idea?

I just don't know what to eat, and then I end up eating too much packaged food with no nutritional value.....
 
Mine looks kind of as follows:
Breakfast: Steel Cut Oats, Raisins, OJ, Skim Milk, Banana, (2 Egg Whites sometimes)
Snack 1: Two pieces of fruit
Lunch: Chicken Salad Sandwich with a handful of pretzels
Snack 2: Cottage cheese and almonds
Dinner: Boiled Chicken Breast, brown rice cooked in nonfat chicken broth, blanched veggies
Snack 3: Peanut Butter on a slice of whole wheat bread
