Sport 6 Meals a Day!?

Sport Fitness

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to get back into training again, but this time I'd like to concentrate more nutritionally then physically.

I read somewhere that eating 5-6 meals a day, one protein, one carb. My question is, what are people eatting for these meals?

I currently work a desk job from about 7-4. I get an hour long lunch break at 11. I need something quick and easy, that will ensure body fat loss, as well as energy.

Please let me know!!!

Currently: 5'5
Weight: 153

An hour long break is plenty of time to eat a meal :)

Salad topped with chicken
Cottage Cheese and blueberries (cottage cheese is considered a protein)
Egg whites and oatmeal
Tuna Sandwhich
Cous Cous and Salmon
Brown Rice and Rosemary Chicken
Black Bean Burritos

Hello Navygirl.

I work 8 hours a day at an office, but eat 6 times a day. The trick? Packing my food the night beforehand in a big lunch bag. Here's a typical menu for me:

8:00 am - breakfast at home (Kashi Go Lean Cereal, banana, milk)
10:00 am - snack at work (3 ryvita crackers, 1/2 cup cottage cheese)
12:00 pm - lunch at work (tuna sandwich on rye bread, 1 1/2 cups raw veggies)
3:00 pm - snack at work (2 rice cakes, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 14 raw almonds)
5:00 pm - dinner at home (turkey chili, or salmon steaks and rice, or chicken fajitas, or ground bison spaghetti, etc.)
7:30 pm - snack at home (1 cup baby carrots, 1 oz buffalo jerky, 1/4 cup hummus)

the mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are the hardest, but if you have something prep'd in advance, it should be no problem to snarf down 300 or so calories in a 10-15 minute break.

Thanks for the great ideas guys!!!
