5k race

On October 7th i will be running a 5 k race. Any suggustions to what i should be doing in the weeks right before the race. All summer i have been running about 2 or 3 miles a day...right now i run more on tuesday and thursdays and i run on the eliptical machines on my days off of running. let me know what you think!
 
check out some running websites for better guidance. you need to taper about 3days before hand though.

maybe start to add some speed work into one of your runs so that you can decrease your time. also do a longer endurance run once a week of about 5miles.
