Sport 5-6 meals....

Sport Fitness
I know everyone says five to six meals a day is one of thr keys to losing weight. I just feel like I'm eating all the time, and I feel like I'm eating way more then I was before, yes it's better food but I just am having a hard time getting myself into the mindframe that this will help me lose weight. Ideally how are these meals spaced out? And I've never been good at counting calories whats the best way to go about this? I know packaged food has it written on the side but I eat alot of fresh fruits and veggie and seldom eat anything straight from a box or package so how do I know how many calories I'm consuming?

What I'm going to tell you goes against a lot of views with a lot of people on this board, but here it goes.

Yes 5-6 small meals spaced 3 hours apart is best for keeping your metabolism up, but, if you can't make yourself eat 5-6 meals (I can't do it) then 3-4 is still going to work. 5-6 may be slightly faster, but in the end the caloric deficit you create will help you lose weight rather than how much of it you ate at a certain sitting.

As far as how many calories you consume. Try this site.

It has a section which tells you how many calories certain foods have.

well i can help u with the fruit and stuff, i just go onto google and type in eg. calories in apples or calories in peanuts, u know something like that, apple have around 50 calories in dem.

If you need to keep it simple: a serving of protein is the size of your open palm...a serving of carbs is the size of your clenched fist.

I'm assuming you're a female...so your protein portions shouldn't be larger than a deck of playing cards..which is about 2 oz of steak, chicken, etc.

Moving, adjusting to a new town, I only moved 20 minutes away, but I've finally got settled in hehe.
