Weight-Loss 4 Week Get-Ready-for-Summer Challenge

I have been lacking in motivation lately and hoped you all would join me in a challenge to get in shape for the summer time. Yup, those nice big coats have to come off and those skimpy bathing suits -- and our bodies -- will be on full display. A frightening thought! So let's get in shape together friends!

To start Monday, May 11th -- to run for four weeks.

Here's how you get points:

1. For each week, you will get 100 points if you do a minimum of 4 hours of exercise and eat "clean" for at least 5 days of the week.

2. You will get an additional 25 points if you exercise at least one more hour (5 or more), and eat clean every single day out of the week.

3. At the very end of the challenge, you will get 5 points for every pound lost.

By eating clean, I mean you either follow your planned calorie or carb allotment, or if you dont count calories you eat generally healthy foods and dont binge on junk or healthy food. A few planned individualized portion controlled snacks, even if junky, are OK as long as there is no binging going on and the snacks are limited and reasonable.

I'm happy to join - but my weight loss will never be great as I have been fairly close to my goal weight for quite some time and my weight has looked more like a maintenance pattern than one for loss "proper". I am trying a final push to goal (whatever exact weight I settle on) - but know that my loss will not add dramatic points to my team.

No worries, I will likely not drop more than a pound or two either. I wanted the challenge to be focused more on support and pushing ourselves to be doing what we're supposed to be doing, as opposed to focusing on WL results.
 
I'd love to join this challenge - my weight loss has been slower than I'd hoped (although I'm a third of the way there) and I need some motivation. I was hoping to be 9lbs less than I am now for my birthday but failed miserably (my birthday is next week:angelsad2:)

Anyway, I need to get back on track with eating healthy and I think 5 days a week is doable.
 
Count me in! I'm hoping to be about 160 by the 21st of June because we're going to FL the week after. If I'm not I wont fret but I definitely hope to be smaller. The factory where I work is shutting down a week every month (we've been off this week) so I've been working my butt off! So far I've lost 2 this week and will find out Saturday how many inches I've lost!

I'm all for this!
 
I can definitely do this challenge. I just won't be getting any points for weight lost!! You don't deduct points for weight gained if I'm 4 months pregnant do ya? :)

My main focus has to be exercise bc our grocery budget is weak at this time.
I do the best I can with what I have.
I cannot afford to eat 'clean' right now.
I manage to be able to get some veggies/salad stuff and my fruit has to be canned bc it's cheaper. (I buy the SF and drain the syrup.)
I try to balance the foods we have the best I can.

Should I skip out on this one doll?

Girl you know you're invited! By clean I mean no binging and just trying to eat as healthily as possible under the circumstances. We all know when we're going overboard and eating more than we should of the wrong things, and we can still go off our diet 2 days a week and get all the basic points.

We will have an awesome chat thread going, I can see it already! We will pump each other up with our exercise reports and stuff. I know I for one need some accountability right about now..

Week 1 ended for me yesterday and I really got a handle on lots of exercise and PORTION control. ;)

This challenge will help me keep on a pushin'!

Ohh this sounds good! I know I'm a little bit late lol but need something to keep me motivated and this might just be it :) I'll start my 4 weeks now
 
I'm going to Florida next week and on a cruise to the Caribbean in November. I want to wear a bikini soooooo badly, but I am stuck in a tankini. Again.

Needless to say, I am SO in. :D
 
hey blancita, thanks for the invite! i think the 4 week challenge sounds good, and i think right now i'm in a good place nutrition-wise and exercise-wise so i'm sure i can handle it....plus i need to keep myself in check since my next milestone is to get out of the 300 club. all the best xoxo
 
I'd love to join!! I just recently joined a gym so those exercise points will keep me motivated to go!
