Sport 4 eggs whites post workout good enough?

Sport Fitness
Besides drinking 2 bottles of water, are 4 egg whites only (4 large eggs) a good "replenishment" snack within that crucial 30-60 minute window post session?

According to this site:

It had 3.6-4g of protein per egg...

I don't like yolk, so that's the reason for only whites.

Go for chocolate milk for carbo reload, it doesn't really matter whether you have the egg whites or not at that 30-60 min post exercise. It's all about carbo replenishment, and they found that your body absorbs carbohydrates faster at that period.

Thats like 12-16 grams of protein. Not enough IMO.

Should be aiming for more along the lines of 30-40 grams

How about you suck it up, and eat the whole egg? That would be around 24-28 grams of protein.

LOL, I'm a picky eater. Changing my diet to be cleaner is already killing me. Eating 4 egg whites already starts getting to the point where on my 4th one, things start tasting blah.

I ate 6 egg whites earlier today as well. I dunno how much that factors into things.

I forgot to mention I drink a protein shake (chocolate, mixed with milk) along with it, which apparently has 52g of protein. I have no idea how I forgot that tidbit....

I'm having a hard time carbing up cause all the food here is all diabetic/low sugar/low carb, so I have to go out and buy all my own food, rather than split the groceries with everybody.

I was hoping that was enough. I recently have been on an egg binge, eating eggwhites more and more since we got a new teflon pan, lol.

Food is fuel.
Food is fuel.

Repeat this mantra. Being a picky eater is a choice...so is being healthy and eating right.

I think cottage cheese is horrible stuff...but its always in my fridge...because its good fuel.

reprogram your mind, try new things. if you don't embrace food changes, like eating a ton of veggies...you're never going the make the progress that you are capable of.
