38 hour weight loss pool

I got the great new from my Dr. Tuesday that I get to have a colonoscopy next Thursday. Fun, fun. Anyway as some may know the worst part of the procedure is getting "prepared".
From midnight Tuesday thruogh Thursday morning I can eat nothing but chicken broth and jello. I will also have to take medication that will "clean me out" Wednesday. So I am curious. Between 38-46 hours (depending on procedure/recovery time) I will have no food except broth/jello and getting the pipes cleaned. how much weight do you think I will loose? I am going to weigh after dinner Tuesday and upon return home Thursday.

My guess
5 lbs.

8 lbs...

any more - and how many comments a bout how full of shit you are - I'm not respnsible :D

and good luck with the colonoscopy...

Most people do not need any medical evidence as to how full of shit I am. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence to back the claim.

it was too easy :) I'm almost ashamed that I took the bait.. .ALMOST :)

do you have brown eyes to further back up the claim :D

Even worse. I have blue eyes with a brown wedge in the left one. Proof that I was not born full of shit but have been slowly filling up over the last 31 years.

looool. I like this cat.

Put me down for 6.8 lbs. What are we wagering? Mal's chastity?

Hmmmm. Good question. Since my chastity will be taken during the procedure, mal may be willing to put hers up to the winner. All I can offer is the respect and admiration of your peers.

And maybe I can give the winner rep points.

Rather you than me. I'm afraid to me that area is one way traffic only.

Enjoy that while you can. The colonoscopy isn't too bad. I had one 5 years ago and will continue to have them every 5. So I actually hope to go through about 10-15 more of them Pretty much you go to sleep and wake up. You never know what happened.

Being awake? I think I'd rather be awake. I'm the guy who watches them slowly put the needle in my arm while giving blood. I want to see everything. I haven't gotten the pipe yet, but I thought that you were awake for it.

I've seen too many episodes of House... sleep please :)

they usually give you a local anesthetic.. hospitals will rarely knock you out unless they have to... too much risk involved

Nope it sleepy town for the colonoscopy. The may need to remove or cauterize polyps while they are in there and if they make a boo-boo and tear the wall they have to do immediate major surgery.

DING DING!!!! We have a winner. It was 8lbs. I have an analog scale so that as accurate as I can get. My procedure was postponed 1 weeks so I just got it done yesterday. I am going to eat normally (1700-1800 cal per day) for a couple of days and see how quickly I regain. My guess is that maybe 1-1.5 lb of the 8 was body mass with the rest being water weight. I would wager that I re-hydrate at least 5 lbs by tonight. I am going to see where I am at 24hrs and 48 rs respectively.

damn so that means I have to give up my virtue... to me?

How boring... :D

Hope the procedure went well and you're given a clean bill of health :D
