Hey. My name is Theresa and I have joined this forum because I have been steadily gaining weight over the past year. I weighed myself for the first time last week and had a nasty shock. I never noticed before, but now it's all I can think of . I am making changes and have lost 5 pound in two weeks, so I'm pretty happy. Am just so worried that if I lose it, I will put it back on, so what's the point?
But, then I have these moments where I put on jeans I haven't wore in a while and I think, It's worth it.:)

It is worth it and motivation like fitting into an old pair of jeans can be helpful ... but don't focus on the scale if you are exercising and weight training. It's all about body image and the scale can be misleading due to muscle gains and water weight.

Your so right. I went out yesterday and wore a pair of jeans I hadn't wore in a few weeks. Don't know whether it was in my head, but I felt that they fitted me better, or maybe they just looked better on me. it's those wee things that are pushing me on, so thanks.xx
