Hey, 26 year old guy here (5'10 173 pounds). I am a runner (usually run 25 km a week) and although the main reason I run is because I love the rush of running and the challenge of getting faster the calories burned has helped me eat a lot of junk food. I haven't run much in the last month as I have been laid low with a glandular problem caused by a viral infection but I am on my way back now, thank God. Anyway I have been happy with my weight for the last 4 - 5 years (as before that I used to be nearly 200 lbs) however I have gone back up from 165lbs. Most of my clothes still fit well but I noticed that a couple pairs of jeans and trousers are feeling tighter. So, I would just like to know some advice on which kinds of food to avoid and which to eat more in order to lose a few pounds on my legs and butt. I drink a lot of water, have enough fruit & veg and my main meals are healthy. The problem is eating crisps, chocolates and fizzy drinks. This week I have reduced my intake of junk food and also started having more green tea which is very nice. Which kind of healthy snacks do you recommend instead of crisps and chocolates. Also are diet drinks like diet cola okay in moderation as I know they don't have calories (well maybe 3 or 4 in a can) but they have sweetners which seem worrying. Thanks for any advice in advance.
