Hey guys, this can be an emotional topic for me but let me introduce myself. I am Mark Coomes, 30 years of age living in the HOT mother *ucking state of Arizona and I have a story to share with you! I am 30 years of age but when I was 17, I had a deadly accident on the freeway up in eastern Washington state. Rolled my 1982 Toyota 4x4 pickup with a two inch lift, this was my second one because I had rolled my first one down a coal hill but nice and slow. (Moderator I promise this is a story about weight loss, that has been the topic of my life for 12 solid years) But my second roll, killed me. Luckily there was a nurse right behind, who had watched all of this with it being Labor day weekend and where I lived, Cle Elum which just on the east side of Snoqualmie pass driving I90. So I am going to skip all the blessings and recovery I have been going through but it has pushed me to self development as a daily task but for the first 10 years after, I was all about my physical appearance. When I crashed, I weighed 185 about and quite a muscular build on me. In my early years, I worked out but for fun but I did all kinds of cardio such as skateboarding (amazing fat burner) as well as biked everywhere around town (when I bike, it is not a stroll in the park type of ride. My attitude has been and will always will be, go big or go home. But also an amazing workout), I also ran from the police a few times which didn't hurt in the cardio aspect. One thing I do regret is I started smoking cancer sticks at a very young age which limited my cardio because I also was born with asthma. (What a combination, sitting in class trying to breathe but at the same time wanting to go smoke? WTF!?!) That was 12 to 15 years of age, O I also got into a lot of fights. (Not looking for trouble but standing up for those who couldn't or wouldn't stand up for themselves) Then 16 hit, I got my license in one swoop (was easy my brother taught me at 14 and I "borrowed" cars throughout the years. (Never crashed and always returned with a full tank) But got my license and got my first Toyota, at this time my Family had moved out of Issaquah over the mountains to a smaller town with "less" trouble. (I promise you, I found trouble wherever you put me but it DEFINITELY NOT less trouble but more) But with trouble comes physical strength (my working out definitely helped out), endurance (I told you I got into fights quite often BUT I was good, I was so quick with my hands, I lost one fight out of 18 fights) The small town we moved to was Cle Elum, we actually lived 15 miles away from town towards Easton. Well I walked to Cle Elum numerous times and my German Shepard, I couldn't leave behind, she went EVERYWHERE with me, God bless, amen! Deceided to walk there in the middle of winter, with 7 FEET of snow on the ground. I had snowshoes but she (Lizzy was her name) had nothing so I carried her on my shoulders, there and back down the John Wayne trail, which backed right up to our property so great walking trail to town and back. Well I did, I didnt give a *uck. (Go hard or go home 100%) Fast forward to after my accident, I was in a natural coma for 3.5 months and finally came to, had to relearn EVERYTHING (walking, talking, eating) but I did and quick! I crashed three days before my senior year in high school so I returned to finish my schooling for a year and a half, learned 1-12 in a year and a half. That was cool and all but I wanted the women! In my earlier days, I could have had the football stars girl for a night and pushed her aside (sounds rude and was rude) but I could get anybody or so it seemed. But I wanted women and I saw all these athletes had wom... girls (sorry, I have learned wording mean everything) but having girls all over them. I am very observant and looked at them and compared myself (something you should never do! Only compare yourself to the yesterday you) and the were fit and I was fat. O no, that was not going to happen, not on my watch so I starved myself while hitting the gym everyday. It worked for the first week but then my "muscles" were deuterate, i think the word is but they were going away but I already didn't have much. I have learned so much from books, documentaries and google but I learned protein, it all has to do with the fibers of the muscle breaking down or taking "injury" (lifting heavy weights) and then rebuilding the fibers or "fusing" them back together which is why they get bigger now protein adds to the rebuild. There alot more factors into this process (I have learned the human body is absolutely amazing) but thats muscle building but weight loss, there is a couple questions you have to ask yourself but you have to be REAL with yourself and not a skinny as *uck high school girl, walking around stating that she is so fat and this and that. *Itch shut up, look at the seriously overweight sitting over there (usually secluded to one table) eating doughnuts for lunch. Ok that is where 70/30 rules comes in, 70% diet or what you put into your temple (body) and 30% exercise comes into play. You have to watch your "diet" (basically what you are eating) and for god sakes if anything, walk for a half an hour. Longer if you can but dont hurt yourself, this does not come super fast! It does take time but it SO worth it! I would love to have discussion over this, please and thank you so much for letting me share! I do apologize for such a long rant but when I get going I get going. Bless each and every one of you!
