Well, here in UK the new logo for 2012 was launched.

What the hell was who smoking to come up with that? In UK there are petitions flying around, one with over 40k signs in 2 days. It cost 400k, and took 1 year to make. I've come up with better for christ sake. To add insult to injury, the video to go along with it, landed over 10 people with a seizure and this has resulted in an investigation into what went wrong. I hate it when people seem to think that by appealing to a 'younger, teenage audience' they have to dumb things down and make pretty shapes. It's CRAP.

That's funny , I couldn't believe that logo when I first saw it, I agree it seems like a practical joke. Then again, giving the games to us was a joke in the first place. When have we ever planned anything that wasn't severely delayed and hideously over budget?

Yes. A £400,000 one Believe it or not, it took the company 1 year to complete it. What a joke. On the BBC news website there are some logos created by the general public, so of them are incredibly good.

They could have made it into a competition where kids could submit suggestions and then let the public vote.
Would have given publicity, fun for the kids, goodwill, public support for the event, a logo that's not butt-ugly and it wouldn't have cost 400k. lol retards..
