Sport 2000 calories diet

Does it matter how you eat 2000 calories?

again and obvious question, but isnt 2000calories... just 2000 cals? i mean eating 700 cal on a Mcdee's is still 700 calories RIght?

I will say i am not saying because i eat them, i am wondering that regardless of eating 2000 calories i could be eating the wrong things... ie... food that add weight / fat but are only 400calories - instead of being processed by the body properly.

I'm not entirely sure what your question is  But if you're asking if it matters if you eat junk or whole foods then the answer is yes.

ok thats basically the question. thank you

so why does it matter, because 2000cal's is 200cal's? regardless of the content correct? i am guessing wrong, because that would be too easy!

so could you explain to me why eat a plain 2000 on fast food is different to 2000 cals on chickpeas and rice?

i want to get to the bottom of my flabby tummy. it looks gd when i stand, but sitting down is as if i never lost any weight.
i know its all down to ur BF% so this is what i am trying to understand. because i am feeling, that 2000 in chickpea isnt the same as 2000cals in a pizza.

Tell me if i eat 2000 calories on a vegan diet or 2000calories on a fast food diet. Which diet would be killing me and which would be helping me?
If you can not answer this then you need to seriously read up on nutrition:p.

well i understand its better for you because it has less chemicals in it. and its obvious because thats what we have been all brought up to believe.

But i dont think thats the question. other than the whole addivatives issue... and for my beliefs i feel you cant eat anything with out them. that aside.

as i said, isnt 2000cals the same the world over? or not, because from your reply its not. and thats what i dont understand... sorry if thats sounds nieve or dumb, but i am only a neeb on this next chain on the food eating level

is the only diffeence addidtives? but addivites arnt calorific are they?

sorrya bout this, i just want to understand.

I believe this is where logic comes in....

Food with nutritional value v.s. refined greasy fat filled salty ect ect ect ect food

Your body rewards you when you eat healthy and your body suffers when you eat fast food.

Ok, nutritional value aside. I think what your asking is " are 500calories from fat the same as 500 calories from protein or carbs?".
Is that in a way what you are asking?

Now we are talking about weight loss here, not how to eat healthy or anything in regard to nutrition am i right?

i think thats what the questions is

500 on fast food is it the same as 500 on a steak and 500 on pasta and 500 on fruit and 500 on beer

i think thats the question. i just want to know, because i again have been brought up to understanda fast food make you fat... ok! granted, but if u dont eat over ur 2000cals limit or whatever ur body needs you shouldnt put on wieght....
BUT obviously you will, just i dont know why.

Calories are used to measure energy, and each macronutrient (Protein, Fats, Carbs) has a certain number of calories per gram, so 5 grams of fat would contain more calories than 5 grams of protein. But that is not all there is to it. In short, a calorie is not just a calorie. It consists of many factors which make it the calorie that it is, if you follow me.

caloreis from fast food are empty caloreis ie they give you energy but they have no nutrients so they dont do anything else.
if you ate 500cls of fat and did weights you wouldnt gain any muscle because it doesnt contain any protein so you need to eat your cals that contain fats/carbs/proteins.

buzz gives a good synopsis. McDonalds is not 'quality' food...not even the salads (iceberg lettuce is pretty much just water and a little fiber, the chicken in their salads is processed to hell).

so a 700calorie McMeal is not the same quality as a 700 calorie 'rice, veggies and chicken I bought and cooked myself' meal.

because fat is more calorically dense than carbs or protein, fast food is always a higher calorie content. A whopper has something like 59g of fat in it. Jesus H Christ...that's a lotta fat, most of it saturated, and basically none of it is an Essential Fatty Acid type fat that you do want.

in addition to the crappy macro ratios...fast food is uber processed. hamburgers are fatty, super low grade ground beef, sometimes with added vegetable protein (which means that protein doesn't count...its not a complete protein).

Go watch Supersize Me! and then see if you ever wanna eat McD's again.

Suppose your mainteance calories were 2000.

If you eat 2000 calories on junkfood and bad food; your weight will stay the same because to gain weight you need to eat more calories then you expand and to lose weight you need to lose more calories then you expand throughout the day. However: you will probably add a little fat and lose a little muscle even though your weight is the same.

If you eat 2000 calories on high-protein, complex carbs, and good fats then again your weight will stay the same. However: you will add a little muscle and lose a little fat at the same time. (Dont' get this confused with bodybuilding though; Bulking and cutting are alot faster and more practical then trying to maintain slowly....)
