Hello everyone

I am 20 years old, 5'2 and weigh 105. My goal weight is 88 pounds. Please do not misunderstand. I am very healthy and try to lose weight the healthy way. My highest weight ever was 110 pounds, so I may have stretched skin.

However, I am wondering if anyone has tips for losing the weight faster!

and I am also wondering(according to my current weight and measurements), if I lose weight, will I have loose skin?/

I am from Turkey/middle east and have few close relatives who are 15 pounds skinnier than I am and look naturally healthy/GREAT! I want to lose that much because I've seen it on girls and nobody complains about them being unhealthy.

Current: 32D-27-36
Goal: 32C-23-34

PLEASE HELP!!! IS IT POSSIBLE? PLEASE BE FRANK,CANDID,HELPFUL,etc

The weight you have listed is a very unhealthy weight for a woman of your height. I don't think you'll find anyone here who will help you with that. I would suggest that you find a doctor / therapist to work with you on your body issues because your current weight is quite healthy.

Well since you said it was ok to be frank here goes...

Um, according to your BMI based on the info you posted, you're at a good weight right now. (Normal weight = 18.5-24.9, your at about 19.2) If you get down to your coveted 88 pounds you will be quite underweight. (Underweight = <18.5, you will be about 16.1). Not only that, but your measurements are already good the way they are. I'd kill for those kinds of measurements.

As well, adding an extra five pounds does not give you a loose skin issue...adding two kids in one womb gives you a loose skin issue.

To be frank, what you've done here is ask a lot of people who are struggling at significantly higher...and death inviting...weights how to be skinner than your skinny self already is.

Again to be frank, yes, it's possible for you to be 88 pounds. You'll probably make a really sexy skeleton with that little weight on you. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about losing weight, but maintaining you're current weight and perhaps toning up a bit if you are that unhappy with the way you look.

For what you're asking, don't seek a weight loss forum...seek a therapist. Because what you are essentially asking if for us to give you instructions on how to kill yourself through weight loss.

Kasandra, I don't think you really have anything to worry about. You are a very petite girl with a large bust. You shouldn't have to worry about "loose" skin as long as your weight loss is gradual. You are still very young with healthy skin. The elasticity in your skin should bounce back without issue. Get to where you want, but if you want the best overall results, I suggest taking it in smaller steps. Larger quick weight loss will only create extra skin that will take longer to tone up. But that’s just my two cents.

Where are you from? Oh yeah, how rude of me…welcome to the forum, glad to have you here!

I must agree.

This site isn't for people looking to harm themselves with unhealthy weights. You say you are healthy, ok but just going by what we know, you will be drasticly underweight at your goal. Maybe you should be focusing more on toning.

I'm sorry, you need to talk to someone more professional than us.

Hi, thanks a lot for the advice. Gradual is the best way. I am actually from middle east, Syria/Turkey :)

It just doesn't make sense, It is just a preference of mine and have seen people with that weight who are really healthy!!

We get that is what you want but it wouldn't be right for us to give you advice to lose weight below what is considered healthy. Hey, you should be talking to your doctor whenever you lose weight anyways.

I think the main thing here Kasandra is that we don't want to see anyone harm themselves. If you desire to be 88lbs that's your thing. However, we just suggest that you speak with a medical professional to ensure you achieve your goal in a healthy manner.

Safety First! And remain healthy!

I am not trying to support unhealthy habits at all. Hence, why I asked for tips

This is frustrating because I have been called fat by my relativess and always emphasize I need to lose weight and it seems that it is unfair not be able to ask for weight tips on a 'Weight Loss forum' because I don't conform to everyone else's size.

Exactly, I do not want that either. I want a healthy weightloss and it seems that it is impossible?!?

If you were to lose more weight you would be unhealthy.

Again, no one here is going to help you drop weight past what is a healthy range.

..do you want to lose weight cause of health..or because your realitives call you names? If it is the later, then you are heading down a path that could lead to some unhealthy behaviors.

It's not..impossible. It's just unadvised by us. It would be better if a doctor discusses this with you. Our advice and information tends to be for people who are actually overweight.

It just seems to me you have a little self image problem..not sure why, you sound like a smart woman just being influenced by realitives who don't know any better.

If you are asking to get down to 88 pounds you are supporting unhealthy habits.

It's not because you're not conforming to someone's size...except for your family's since they are the ones who think you need to lose weight.

It's not impossible for you to lose weight, it's just that you personally don't need to because you are already at a healthy weight. Even if you only lose five pounds you are going to be under a healthy weight.

But hey, one less skinny person on the on the planet making my fat ass look bad is no bother to me. So if you want to be a walking skeleton go right ahead. The girls dying in the modeling industry are making it to a ripe old 25 with your same ideas, so you might get lucky and make it that far.

But whatever, I'm out now before I piss off the mods.

It really doesn't matter what my relatives say, they're part of my family and blunt speaking just comes natural to them. The reason why I brought that up is just to prove that I am not seeking unhealthy look and that I know people who look great at that weight.

everyone has has a preferred look and mine happens to be the same as my close relatives.

Anyways, I understand what you're trying to say. However it is my goal weight and I will go for it 100 percent, I was just hoping to get some direct tips along the way.

LOL, hahaha. You have a great sense of humor.

Buuuuut, I agree with you, runway models who are 5'8 and 110 pounds (which is clearly 5 pounds away from me) are really unpleasant to look at.
However, you forgot that I am really short, 5'2, petite and have a pear size. It is impossible for me to look flat!!! So to look smaller is actually great for me!

Usually shorter girls appear fatter than they really weigh as opposed to tall girls (lucky for them)

When one's preferred look means that one is unhealthily underweight, then there is a problem. What you fail to understand is that your goal weight is medically unsafe for you. It will result in malnourishment, in the loss of lean muscle, in the loss of bone mass. It will likely cause you to develop a bloated stomach (a sign of underweight, believe it or not). It will likely cause you to stop menstruating. It will cause damage to your hair, your skin, and your nails.

88lbs for a woman of 5'2" is UNHEALTHY. It's not "a look" - it's illness.

Please take the time to understand this and please, please please seek the help of a doctor. No one here is going to help you to lose weight to a dangerous level.
