Sport 2% milk vs. whole milk for bulking up

Sport Fitness
Can somebody explain why I wouldn't want to be drinking whole milk instead of 2%? I know it is 40% more fat, but is it good fat? Will it help me bulk up? I hear that animal fat is bad? Thanks.

I hear that animal fat is bad?

And where does milk come from?
;)

Protein counts are pretty weell the same for whole milk down to skim milk so you are just getting less fat and calories. I have been drinking some skim milk lately which I never do but needed a quick way to add some protein to my diet (I can digest the stuff, a lot of people can't).

If you are going to use fake milk take a look at what you are buying carefully. Most have sugar of some sort, I don't like soy in general so I avoid soy milk and Rice milk has very little protein. Heres a recipe though for a decent substitute.

All-Natural Almond Milk

1 1/2 cups of raw almonds, soaked in water overnight
4 cups of filtered or spring water
3-5 dates (optional)

Blend 1 ½ cups of raw almonds that have been soaked overnight in 4 cups of water. Blend with dates if you like your milk with a hint of sweetness. Strain once to remove almond granules. The result is a delicious, creamy milk that is free of harmful vegetable oil, concentrated sweeteners, and the problems associated with cow’s milk and soy. It can be stored safely for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

Cooks in the middle ages frequently used almond milk due to the short longevity of animal milk.

They say you learn something everyday and today, I learned about cooks from the middle ages. Cool.

Short longevity? Thats an excellent oxymoron ;)

Drink whole, raw milk. Why? Because raw milk has the natural cultures and digestive enzymes in it necessary for your body to best utilize all of its nutrients, especially the protein in it. The fat in the raw milk is also incredibly beneficial, not only is it a naturally high source of CLA, but the fat in the milk helps to slow its digesting, which is important since the protein in milk is casein(a naturally slow digesting protein). The fat in milk also helps lower its glycemic index, meaning you will not get as much of an insulin response, and you are less prone to store fat. Pasteurized milk is just dead milk, it is really wortht he extra money to drink the raw stuff. I got through about two gallons of raw milk a week, and I am currently at 6% bodyfat. Raw, whole milk makes you strong, not fat
