Hey dudes here's the scoop. I have an Ultimate Frisbee state tournament this weekend, and it goes from Saturday to Sunday. For those unfamiliar with Ultimate Frisbee, it's like no contact, American football where you can't tackle people or run with the disc. You jog for long periods of time and make hard, fast "cuts" (like a passing route) at top speed. It's a really exhausting game.
Anyway, I need food ideas for what to eat the day before the tournament (Friday), and on the tournament days.
Start with a big pasta dish Friday I know for those complex carbs, but any specific type of pasta that works best?
What should I eat while I'm playing in the tournament? It'll last for about
5-7 hours each day with lots of sprinting, jogging, jumping, and throwing, so I'll need to refuel. Should I make some of those protein/energy bars in the Recipes section of the forum? I've heard that grapes/bananas are prime foods for long days of exertion. What about liquids? Just water, or Gatorade as well?
Please, I'm pretty much clueless here and the tournament's on Saturday. I got a reasonable amount of time and money, but I'm a horrible cook, so keep that in mind.
