18 y.o needing help

Hi, im 18 years old. Im not in the best of shape (5'8" at around 245lbs) I do want to lose weight fast so i can look/feel better about my self. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do first??
 
start doing some light jogging and steadily increase it over a couple months till you are running about 4-6 hours/week. For the best results cut you also really need to watch your nutrition. Cut down your fats to about 15-20% of your daily in-take and comletely remove complex sugars from stuff like junk food.
 
I was thinking noone used this forum anymore lol, Ive been light joging off and on, but with my watching my nephew all the time, i rearly get out.. Im a beginner at joging and usally start to fast, resaulting in running out of breath.. :(
 
ohhh, i think he just turned 7.. and he doesent really like being around me lol.. thats why i usally wait tell my mom or sister to have a day off, so i can do my own things.
 
Community classes

did you check into your community program?
i started with that and found a great program to start out, circuit training with cardio combined. that helped to get in shape for the step classes which are a lot of fun and great to loose weight.

if your nephew is 7 he probably know how to ride a bike, so you could go for bike rides with him...that would probably also make him tired and he might like you all the better for it:):)
 
you asked for suggestions on what to do first...i suggest the first thing you do is make time for yourself...30 minutes a day of cardio is enough to begin 'an exercise habit' and still see results...joining a community gym doesn't have to be expensive and is a great idea...if you are interested in jogging check out the following article for a beginners training schedule:

:D heheh. well. Sometimes i wake up in the late afternoon, and am hungry, so usally i get a sandwich with some patatoSalid. but thats not all the time
 
Eish. After I found some time for myself, I'd definately take the time to read up on nutrition. The fact that you want to change and feel motivated, is a good step already. You should tell us some stuff you like to eat, or when you like to eat... Also, how do you eat during the school year? Jeeze, jogging... I really hate jogging. I'm a beginner jogger too. You could just run pretty fast for about 5 minutes or so, and then slow down a bit to like a fast walk for a minute. then start jogging faster again.
