17 year old wants to get fit during the summer

my inspiration is kate bosworth.

obviously she's very thin but she still has muscle. What kind of a diet/fitness routine would one have to do in order to get her sort of body?

You'd need to have her genetics actually and if you do- it shouldn't be too hard.

What are your stats and we can draw something up for you.

thanks for responding1 well i'm 5'1 and i'm usually around 110 pounds but i've put on some weight recently so i'm at 120.

well i usually don't exercise but i want to do pilates because it builds strength. and my diet is usually pretty healthy. i tend to eat the same things everyday.

breakfast: oatmeal or a banana
lunch: a bean sandwhich. [two slices of whole grain bread with black beans]
dinner: varies. not too unhealthy usually. a chicken salad or a peanut butter sandwhich or something equally simple.

as for beverages, i only drink water and the occasional crystal lite mix.

Pilates strengthens the core, right? I doubt if you are going to shed 10 lbs by just strengthening your core. Cardio and weight training and pile on the protein (there's not enough in your diet). 6 small meals a day vs. 3. And try to avoid table sugar as much as humanly possible.

how can i add protein in my diet? i don't really eat meat except for the occasional chicken salad. that's why i try to eat beans everyday. and i also try to avoid sugar by buying lower sugar oatmeal and sugar free jam. i don't know what else really to cut out...

There is no protein in your breakfast (which is a very important meal of the day) and you can add protein to a couple snacks that you don't have listed. Whey protein is another suppliment that I don't see listed. There's also protein in nuts, cottage cheese, 2% cheese etc..

I would opt for plain oatmeal and add some cinnamon or maybe honey if you want it to taste sweet.
