16 year old 2 mile running help!

OK, so i am going to be a junior in highschool and currently i have soccer every monday wednesday and friday where we condition for 2 hours. On the days off i work on improving my 2 mile time because to make varsity you need around a 12:45 and atleast a 13:30 to even be considered. Ive ran all summer long changing from 2 miles for speed and 4 miles for endurance and ive cut my time down to my quickest which is 12:40...the majority of the time i run around a 13 though from a 15 at the beginning of summer when i was out of shape:D. But today for some reason i went running and i got a 13:45 and i am freaking out...i ran the same route i do everyday the only difference is that today we are under a heat advisory so i ran it about an hour earlier than i normally do and it was very very hot. My whole body has been sore from running 35, 40 yd sprints under 6 seconds as a group (i hate the slow kids:D) for conditioning on monday, 2 miles which doesnt bother me on tuesday and i got under a 13:30, and then hills on wednesday. I felt very tired today and it took alot to get through the run. is this something to be worried about with my 2mile timed test for soccer coming up in 4 weeks or is it normal to have a bad day...this is the first one ive really had....im around 5"10' and 135 lbs


thanks for the help.....btw is there a strategy for the 2 mile? i normally keep a solid pace the first mile and a half and then run harder the last half mile
