1500/Day Calorie Diet (Subway Diet)

Here is my diet for you all, its as simple as this.

If you are over 200pounds, walk to the nearest Subway and get 2 butties a day, which will be around 1500 calories if you go for the healthy options.

And then walk back home to lose some of the calories. I did it and I lost 2 stone :)

Its also cheaper than you would imagine if you get the sub of the day.

I cant see how that is going to tick all your nutritional boxes: protein, calcium, fibre, healthy fats... You will just get a lucky dip of ingredients. It sounds like a way to deprive your body of the nutrients that it needs and be malnourished....

I cannot say that it sounds like it would satisfy my hunger either. It just sounds like a way of counting random calories...

You could eat 1500 calories of chocolate a day and lose weight if your body burnt over 1500 calories a day - but in my opinion it wouldnt be a healthy diet either...

Nope it wouldnt, that is where you are wrong. You can fill your sub with fresh salads, fresh chicken and you can also ask for the nutritional information you require and a leaflet will be given. Subway is fattening if you eat for example the ribs, but stick to the healthy stuff and it will help you :)

So a person of 200 pounds (although you suggest over 200 pounds) - is going to get
100g of protein
25g fibre
1000mg calcium
healthy fats
etc
from any two subways on offer in order to tick their nutritional boxes???

I strongly doubt it.

How will you sustain this for the rest of your life? What will you do once you've lost the weight you want to lose? Will you go back to eating the way you chose to eat in the past?

While I think that a Subway sandwich with properly chosen ingredients can be a good meal choice, eating 2 sandwiches a day for the rest of your life is ultimately unhealthy as well as expensive.

You'd be better off learning to eat real foods in a way you can sustain for the rest of your life.

Depends on how much they opt for on their subway, instead of being synical, try it for a week!

No thanks - I am thin and do not want to get fat. I do not want other people to prepare my food for me. I prefer to know exactly what I am putting into my body and KNOW that I am ticking ALL my nutritional boxes.

i seriously don't think eating only subs is going to get anyone anywhere.
and also i completely agree to what 'KaraCooks' said
how can someone sustain this diet even for a week, is something that is beyond me

1500 cals for two subway sandwiches?

Funny, the ones I get from there have 250 each....

Seriously though, that's just nonsense. Not much more I can say to that which hasn't already been said....
