15 minutes of fame

It's said that everybody has their 15 minutes of fame in their life. Now I am wondering, have you already had yours? Have you ever been on tele, met somebody famous, anything like that? I'm curious! :)

I'm gonna be a brag and start....*lol*

- I have been on a German talkshow, the topic was 'My body is a disaster'. *lol* The show sucked, but the money was good!

- I can be seen in a German TV special about WCW, standing next to 'The Big Show' (and looking really small for the first time in my life *lol*)

- I have been on stage with the band 'Rammstein' during their Berlin appearances, and my name is mentioned in their 'Live from Berlin' CD booklet. I also know the members of the band personally (one used to be my neighbour)

- I had a meet and greet with Madonna

- I met Amy Lee, singer of the band Evanescence, after a concert and had a drink with her. She's cute!!! :)

- I met Robert Patrick (the creepy guy from Terminator 2) and had a good chat with him during a convention.

- I met most of the cast of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel' during conventions.

- I met and chatted with nearly all WCW/WWF/WWE wrestlers and officials, and some of them actually recognize me to this day. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad. And yes, I was young, stupid, and used to be heavily into wrestling....*lol*

Uhm...I think that's it. All nice and well, but you know what? It gets you absolutely nothing but fond memories and a few pictures. *lol*

Now I want to hear from you. Who's first??

I know I've told this story - it's my brush with fame... I lived a bunch of years in NYC - and saw celebrities quite frequently but usually my brain didn't process that they were celebs til they were blocks away...

however, there was one morning - I was out early - and going in the opposite direction of me... on the very same sidewalk... was Mick Jagger... MICK!!!! (so for most of the children on this site - Mick is practically a rock god!!! ) He walked past me - my head just went i his direction.. and I slammed into a light post.. .With a loud CLUNK!!! THUD!! (right out of teh batman tv show )

He heard this - turned around and said - you alright love? :D

Mick called ME LOVE!!!! :D

and we lived happily ever after :)

*lol*...I would have pretended to faint and need mouth - to -mouth and all that drama....just to get the most out of it. *lol*

And I did kind of the same thing...I drove my bike to get some shopping (that was when there were still bikes that could carry my weight), and had to get out of the way of a little kid and landed flat on my face, slicing my knee open in the process. I was bleeding profusely, and suddenly the singer from Rammstein (he lived near the shop and was apparently on the way to get something from there) leans over me and asks 'Are you alright?'. And of course, before I could stop myself, I was like 'Yeah, peachy. I love to lie on the ground and bleed. Do I LOOK okay to you?' - That was the beginning of a wonderful friendship....*lol*

Nothing for me... I have no talent. But at times I feel that I could easily wind up on a future episode of the tv show "Snapped" lol.. :reddevil:

*lol*....but you don't really need any special talent just to meet people or stuff. I'm completely talent free as well, and managed to get into a talkshow....*lol*

I have never met anybody famous but have been on tele a few times

as a teenager i was on tele as future sports star (Judo)-

National news and current affairs programs for surviving a lightning strike

also a few news paper articles but i don't think they count lol

Everything counts, even newspaper articles!

And surviving a lightning strike? Lucky you!!!

well...

I was lucky enough to meet my musical idol Josh Groban after a concert last year in August...He was singing autographs by his tour bus and I went to it with a couple of friends and it was absolutely the best night of my life. He signed one of my CD's and I got a hug out of him. He is so SWEET to his fans, I love him :)

I used to be an announcer on a national radio show, introducing the host, closing the show etc.

I was in the local newspaper for having a conference call with people in Antarctica, it was some new technology at the time.

I met a couple of musicians (famous in New Zealand) at different times as well.

But that's about it.

I had a small local newspaper do an article on me for losing weight. It was certainly a good feeling but i didnt think anyone would read the article since the newspaper is so small. It's the type they stick in the corner of coffee shops.

It turned out that the cashier i see everyday when i am buying fruit is my neighbor. She lives the next street over.

Wow...My life is so boring after reading these. I live in the most boring village, yes village, ever. We have no road lights, one gas station, and a bowling alley...well there is 6 bars though too.. :rotflmao: But uhhhmm trying to recall if anything close to that has happened to me to have any "fame" But I'm thinking....nay. I uh never had a lead role even in a school play in elementary school, never was on homecoming, never had something crazy happen to me, never was in the paper, oh wait..I lied I was in the paper in Kindergarten for visiting a local pizza shop with my class.... uhhh yeah, really nothing. hahahah

Maybe I should go play with a bear, and see if something exciting comes out of it. :toetap05:

- and Mal- In an afternote, I must say, I'm 18 and know who mick is..and whomever doesnt know who he is, possibly has spent their whole life inside their home.
=P

Well I won't count famous people I know or famous people I met (even though the list is very short lol)

I worked for Muchmusic (TV music station in Canada). I was never an on cam person but the VJs did ask me things sometimes on air - just to see me squirm I think.

Been in a couple newspaper articles for business..but nothing important...local stuff like town of 25000 people sized papers.

So maybe my 15 is still coming...

I met a bunch of different famous people while I was deployed to Afghanistan this past summer. The USO had a picture of me and some of my friends with actor Milo Ventimiglia (Peter from Heroes) on their website for a few months.

That must be the place to meet famous people!! My brother is in Afghanistan right now and met Diamond Dallas Page (the wrestler) hahaha

He actually got pics of it hahah --->

I haven't really had any brushes with fame either... Lame I know... My friend once bumped into Phylicia Rashad (mom on the Cosby show) at a mall in downtown SLC a few years ago... I thought that was very random, lol... I have a few up and coming friends so, when they are uber famous I will have great stories to tell I'm sure ;)

Unfortunately I havent had any interesting things involving celebrities or television happen to me either.

im waiting!

I did a collaborative piece of artwork in high school with a famous water color artist out of NYC, that got commissioned and hung in the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk Virginia. My name is on the back of the canvas, as well as on the plaque that hangs next to the wall. Its where it will be until the end of time.

I live in Washington State, there is absolutely no one famous here. Except maybe serial rapists and no one wants to meet them. Also, I am in no way shape or form talented or gifted in anything, not one thing. The only thing I'm known for is giving advice, woo...how exciting.
