14 years, male, abs wont show through...yet!

my ab muscles are fine, im positive if i had a low bf% then they would show through. thats my main goal at the moment, so a few questions....

to get a low bf% will i have to lose weight?
will i lose muscle because of losing weight?
should i be aiming to lose weight with my diet?
should i be doing exercises like running, interval training etc...HIIT?
 
If you cannot see your abdominal walls, this means your body fat composition is not quite low enough. Therefore, you must lose weight fat to reach your goal. You may lose some muscle mass while trying to lose fat. I would not worry. It would not be much. Running especially HIIT will help you lose fat. The most important facts are your diet and your calorie intake. Eat well, train hard. Good luck.
 
i can barely see my abs when i'm not flexing, but when i flex they pop out like crazy. is it supposed to show a lot when i'm not flexing? i THOUGHT they were only supposed to show a lot when you flex, but i see a couple guys in the locker room with crazy ripped abs and i'm like wtf mine only look like that when i flex. u think they're flexing or just naturally ripped mofos

sorry this doesn't help you at all but im only 16 i have no clue about these things either

That'd be because their abs are stronger than yours, their body fat % is lower, or both.
