14 year old wanting to get into shape...

Hullo,

I'm 14 years old, and have never weighed more than 81 lbs. at one time in my life. I'm quite thin, I've got little to no muscles, thin arms, and small hands. When I was in Elementary School, while I was still small, I was pretty much in shape. I made the very top fitness club, and could run a mile, or more, pretty easily.

Since then, I've dropped out of PE, and my grades are slowly going down. Right now, the only physical thing I do, is airsoft. My dream is to become an United States Marine Corps Infantryman out of High School. So, I'd like to increase my strength to a certain point, so that a 100 lb. pack, or a 25 lb. vest with magazines, or a 13 lb. gun wont kill me. While I've still got a few years to bulk up, I want to start early as possible, and it will help me out with airsoft and life.

Currently, I'd like to get myself into shape, so that I could easily life a 15 lb. weight with one hand (right now it takes me 2 hands and can only lift it no more than 20 times), and to be able to run 2 miles in under 15 minutes, without tiring, and imitating someone having an asthma attack.

As for my weight, unfortunatly, there's not much I can do for it. I've got a very high/low (whichever one) metabolism, and it runs through the family.

EDIT: Also, how much water should I drink per day? Right now, I drink very very little, and eaty very very little. I eat a poptart and a small glass of milk in the morning, skip lunch, and have a medium meal with a normal sized glass of milk in the evening.
 
Wow whats with the meal plan? You need to either get on a basic 5-6 meal plan a day or just eat alot more then you are. Try to get in as much protein as you can or around your lean muscle mass which is like around 60 or so i dont think it gets much less then that. Running 2 miles without tiring, thatd be pretty tough, but practice makes perfect so just work your leg muscles more. If I were blessed like you with a fast metabo I would just bulk up hardcore and look cut up! Hit the weights and do some cardio to make sure you dont lose it.
 
When you have a fast metabolism (wanna trade? ;) ) you burn energy very easily without doing all that much. Theory is easy: eat more cals than you burn and you'll gain weight. Since you don't want to end up like a fatzo, I suggest you eat healthily and a lot of protein. And of course add resistance training. I'd recommend a diet that's consists of a eating a meal every 2/3 hours and is about 20% fat, 30% carbs and 50% protein.

Ofourse, when you're young like you, eating 5/6 meals a day is pretty hard. So I suggest that you'll get yourself some protein shakes. That makes it easier to get your 5/6 meals during the day. That's how I do it anyway. Also make sure you have enough rest to allow your muscles to grow. Or else you might even be heading towards muscle loss! So do reisitance training about 3 times a week, (example: monday: upper body, wednesday: lower body, friday upperbody. next week switch.)

For more info, read around the forum more. Many questions that are asked have already been answered numerous times before. Some people here are constantly copying & pasting their answers countless times because ppl just post without taking a look if their answer is already there.
