13 year old looking to workout

I need to start working out. I play hockey every saturday for a couple hours but thats not enough. I want to start getting more into shape for football coming up soon. I am 5'5" about 140 pounds. I have started to gain some belly fat and want to cut it. I have a treadmill and the a couple of light weights. I generally want stuff I can do easily in my room. If you want to help just tell me a good plan

What I want to do:

Strengthen arms and legs
cut body fat
increase stamina
develop a strong body

I also want to know what foods will be good to eat while doing the plan.

Thank You

run run run some more

run,do lots of pushups and crunches, weights are not good to use under 15-16 years old running long and fast wil rid you of belly fat and create great stamina. Have computer? google or bing or search intervale training.

Id stay away from the weights at your age. Do excercises that involve your own body weight, such as pushups, sit ups, and chin ups. Also i would recommend grabbing a punching bag and getting your dad to hang it in the basement for you. I remember first year of high school i was alot bigger than any of the other kids i my grade, and all i ever used was a punching bag at home, they give a great upper body work out if you train hard

Focus on bodyweight exercises like lunges, squats, push ups etc and really nail the motor patterns and reinforce good technique. I have worked with junior hockey teams in the past and contrary to popular belief adolescents can use weighted exercises but i would advise you get assessed by someone who knows what they are doing. Interval training is better than long, slow cardio (e.g running). In terms of food - make it simple and stick to lean meats, veg, wholegrains and healthy fats (oils, seeds etc). Eat plenty enough to grow.
