12:57am, 3:03am, 5:11am, 5:55am......

The puppy decided he wasn't ready to go to bed last night till 9:48. Now that's the time we headded upstairs....At 12:57am hubby hadn't gotten home yet, and he needed to go, so I got up and took him out and at about 1:25am headed back to bed. Hubby finally got home at 3:03am and I woke up to ask him to take the dogs again because they woke up too, and began telling me he was pissed about something that happened at work, so I listened for about 10 mintues before I said I had to go back to bed. At 5:11am he came to bed cause puppy was wired (big surprise) and again woke me up. Just as I finally started to drift off, my kids woke up at 5:55am and it was time to get up!

Nothing like getting a good nights sleep....lol

Meet Ghenis...

I feel your pain. After having our last dog for 14 years my wife and I had forgotten that puppies can't last through the night. Ours is a 5 month old border collie. She needs lots of exercise too or gets really wired at night.

Yeah, we haven't had a young one for many years. My youngest dog is 5. We got him at 6 months, so it wasn't quite the same. They are just like babies.... Every two hours! LOL

He is already beginning to sleep for 4 hours at a shot, just not consistently yet. Good luck with your collie! It's always an adventure!

I hope I don't sound rude but that's not my kinda dog. I don't have one, but if i was to get one I would get one like the mutt "Jerry Lee" in the film K9. A dog to me means something that can bite the ass out the bad guys in the hood, not something that looks like a cat.

This topic title was misleading. I thought I was going to get a question about trains leaving at some time and figuring out what time they would crash into each other. :)

So much for good night sleep. :)

Unless you've got tonnes of space having a dog is pointless IMO. Big dogs shouldn't be kept in a hole in the wall. If you ain't got the space have a cat. :animal:

Whaa? Who said anything about a lack of space? He just mentioned the trials and tribulations of puppyhood.....

LOL, sorry for the deception, all I could think about was every time I looked at the clock!

How bid is your yorkie? Mine is name independence and she is a little less than four punds. We call her indy. :)

He's 2.8 lbs at the moment. They think he might reach 5 lbs. He's a bit smaller than I thought he would be but that's ok. I just want to be sure the rotties and kids are aware of him being so small and all.

Cute name :)
