Weight-Loss 1000 Mile Jog Thread

OK, here's a challenge that I have always wanted to put on myself. The 1000 Mile challenge. To some hardcore runners out there I know this sounds like such a sissy girl thing, but hey, for me, 1000 Miles is big. And it's gonna take a heck of a long time to do it.

Here are the the rules:

1. Jog.
2. Record your miles everyday.
3. The one who reaches 1000 Miles in the least amount of days is declared the winner!

I can't go jogging right now coz I have the sniffles but I will start once I get better. That means y'all have a great headstart on me. Hahahahahaha!

Oh dear...at my current goal of jogging 6 miles a week, this challenge would take me 3.2 years! :willy_nilly:

Hmm...so maybe I should increase how much I run? Well, I'm sure I won't win, but count me in anyways. Maybe I can try to reach 100 while everyone else shoots for 1,000? :p

Yeah this is a very long challenge! hahahaha! When I mentioned it to my boyfriend, he said make it a long long challenge so that you will need to follow up on it for a long time. No sense in making an easy one. And since trying to be healthy is for life, it makes sense that this should be a long term goal.

I'm joining, whoopeee!!!!!

Will be logging my first run tomorrow :) Couch to 5k (or 1000 miles!!!!!) here I come!!!
 
I know, I know it says "jog" but jogging isn't too far from walking so can walkers join in lol? Or should I make that a seperate challenge?
 
Hmmm, what if I have to walk for part of my run (as I do now.... working up to a solid run, but not there yet...?)
