10 Weeks are all I have! (It's good to be back!)

I am a 30 year old man, in search of the fountain of youth. It resides in a healthy lifestyle, one I have not lived for too long.

Stats:

Height: 5'7"
Weight: 152.4 lbs
Waist: 32.5"
BMI: 17.0%

Currently, I have very specific goals, which are outlined in one sentence:

Lose as many inches off my waist as possible in the next 10 weeks.

I am keeping a food journal, which has records of the following:

Meal Times
Calories
Saturated Fat
Sodium
Total Carbohydrates
Protein

I am NOT taking any supplements, only mulitvitamins and a nutrient shake with protein.

Men have obtained the physique I want for eons, long before supplements, and I plan on
doing the same. Naturally, I am beset of achieving this.

I weigh in once a week, on Sundays.

My routine involves 1/2 hr of vigorous lifting, immediately followed by 1/2 of H.I.I.T. running, 6 days a week.

This is week 10, and the extra activity I am incorporating is Bikram Yoga.

LET's DO IT!!!

I assume that by BMI you mean Body Fat %, because your BMI (weight[kg]/height[m2]) would be about 23.5, give or take. How long have you been training prior to this? And are you sure HIIT daily is healthy?

I limit my HIIT to a maximum if 30 minutes.

As for the BMI, I am simply trusting my fancy scale at home.

I have been training for all my life.

I assume you used a calculator like this one?

In order to achieve my ultimate goal of 10% BMI, I have to weigh 64 pounds!!!

Imagine, ANY person with a 5'7" height who weighs so little would be borderline dead!!

I as alarmed this, yet realise this is not an accurate indicator of BMI.

I personally know body builders with 8% BMI, and they weigh more that ME!

I need to find an appropriate way to make this calculation, yet number are not important to me. My physique and well-being are my yard-sticks.

I used a calculator such as this one:

BMI (Body Mass Index) is NOT a measure of how fat you are or aren't. It is a measure of your weight in comparison to height, and should be about 20-25 for most people (ethnicity, gender and athleticism/muscularity will all modify these ranges and the validity thereof, but it's pretty much universal that a BMI of <15 is pathologically underweight.

Body Fat Percentage (which I believe is what you are looking into) is not based on height or weight, it is based on the quantity of fat on the body. A bodybuilder might have a BMI of 35 and 5% body fat, while someone else (myself, for example) might have a BMI of 20 and 15% body fat. BMI and BF% are not interchangeable and they do not measure the same things.

Forgive me if I sound like I'm being harsh. It's not my intention. I just mean to inform you.

YES!!

BF is calculated with a formula using the waist size, height, and weight!

I found this out subsequent to my reply. Thanks for the clarification!

I was shocked to actually think I'd have to weigh so little!! Talk about skin and bones, I presume my bones alone would weight more that 64 lbs!!
