10 Steps to a Great New Years!

1) Get into the happiness habit!
Look for things to be happy about! Your childs laughter, a crisp blanket of snow

2) Set your priorities
Whats more important, your family? your job? Spend the most time on what matters

3) Give to Others
Volunteer to clean up at a food bank, tutor a child. Making a positive impact on the world around you, will leave you much more positive yourself.

4) Give to Yourself
Do what nourishes you both physically and mentally. Take a daily walk, eat healthy food, read a book. The more you take care of yourself, the better you feel!

5) Don't be your own worst critic
Stope mentally replaying your mistakes and you'll be surprised how much additional energy you have!

6) Believe in Yourself
Don't be afraid to have dreams and work to make them come true

7) Try new things

Go skating, even if you havn't been to a rink since you were a child. Do it just for one evening..a secse of adventure makes life alot more interesting

8) Remember that imperfect is OK
No one does anything flawlessly, you'lll be alot less stressed if you focus on the big picture.

9) Give yourself Another Chance
If you've done something that you regret-its never too late to try to make up for it.

10) Take time to Organize

Write a lis of your tasks at the start of thday day. Dont' put off ironing the blouse you plan to wear so your doing it five min's before you have to leave. Getting organzied isn't fun, but it will make your life more tranquil!​
 
I think if we all just really focus on one or two of these, we can make life better! I'm going to focus on #3 and #10
 
I just printed 2 copies of this and I'm putting them up in my room and my daughters room. I am promising myself and asking her to read it every morning when I get up. I like the fact that it reminds us that we can make changes and we don't have to accept failures from our past as the pathway to our future!
