Is it Ok to set up my own little, tiny challenge. I want to lose 6lbs by next Fri. Considering I've gained the same in about 1 week I think it's water weight mostly, but it has to go!!!!!

Today (Fri 28th Oct) I weigh 165lbs 11st 11lbs :piggy:
By next Fri I must be 159lbs. 11st 6lbs :hurray:

Anyone want to come with me?

6 pounds in one week is fairly unrealistic. I wouldn't suggest such a goal. See at your weight, the safe number would be 1% of your body weight..1.6 pounds.


I'm sorry but what you are aiming for isn't a healthy goal for 1 week. Instead, make 6 your overall goal and do the weight loss slow and steady.
 
I would love to but theres no way ill be able to loose nearly half a stone in one week! I will challenge myself to loose 3 pounds so that i will be the weight i was before my holiday. i am now 11.1 stone and i want to be 10.12 stone. I cant wait to hear how you get on tho!! Fair play to you if you can do it!
 
Thanks for your concern Jericho, I am only saying 6lbs because I have gained that over the last week and most of it will be water as I haven't been dieting lately, and I always tend to lose a lot at the start of a diet. Of course 3lbs should be achievable and probably better for most people. I will post my weight everyday and I will be sticking to about 1000 cals a day. Next week I will aim to lose 2lbs per week. Good luck with the 3lb loss Alwaysdieting :waving: I will try to check in everyday with weight.
 
why such a low number? 1000 calories seems a little steap, but I also don't have enough information to be sure. I'm just asking because it seems that you might be trying to rush the weight loss.

Is 1000 that low? It's nice to know that you care so much!!! I think I'll be OK but I'll let you know if I start feeling bad and yes I'm in a hurry as I am going jiving next week and need to feel fit.
 
Ok I shall join this except I want to lose 2-3 pound by this Friday I'm going to be in a room with a lot of people and I think if I can lose a few pound before it it will help my state of mind.

After Friday I'll start again or carry on.

So my goal for now is 2-3 pound by Friday. :smash:

Best of luck Hippo! I'm not sure I'll lose as much as I wanted but I'm trying my best. I will set a new mini challenge next week.

I was intending to stick to 1000 calories but I must say I have had on average about 1500 a day. I think my weight loss will slow next week so I'll aim for 2-3lbs like you from fri - fri. Hope you achieve your goal Hippo! :cheers2:
 
I lost 2lb from the 1st to now :hurray: goal accomplished lol.

I'll start my next one from Monday to Monday, congrats on another pound gone! Good job Miggy! Good luck with your new goal, you can do it!

Next Friday I'm aiming to get to 11st 5lbs, good luck with your target!
