Sport Hormone balancing/ clear skin diet help

Sport Fitness
I'm 22/female and I'm looking to transform myself physically and mentally. It is time for me to change my life. I suspect I have some type of hormonal/thyroid problem, and I want to treat it naturally. Mainly to regulate my mood, and to help my current skin problems.

I'm breaking out for the first time in my life. I believe this is due to my suspected hormonal imbalance/thyroid disorder. My eczema has also been worse than ever before. NO topical treatments are working, and believe me I've tried everything including prescriptions. So this means I need to change my diet. If I regulate my hormones, I'm hoping this will give me back my clear skin....as well as improve my mood & body.

So does anyone on here know what foods to eat to regulate hormones and balance thyroid? I eat a ton of fish with omega 3 but that isn't doing the trick. What foods should I eat? What foods should I stay away from?

I'm not sure if this is one of those part-myth things but I've heard that non-organically raised cattle and poultry contain a lot of hormones that can pass into your body when you consume the meat, milk and eggs that they produce.

I'm not sure just how true that is as it might be exagerated by the 'eat organic' crowd but worth looking into

I think Typhon is right. If you drink a lot of milk or consume a lot of dairy in general, I'd cut back.

Also, don't touch your face. Your hands are dirty.

I dealt with acne as a teen and into my 20's. what prescriptions have you tried? anti-biotics? accutane? or just topicals?

i'm curious because nothing really helped me in terms of topicals, or anti-biotics for more than a short while.
I finally went on accutane, and my liver couldn't take the full treatment course and I stopped a month early. But...it did do wonders for my acne.

I'm not saying its not hormonal, but I want to make sure you explore all options. A dermatologist should be able to present these kinds of things to you if they are staying current on research. a general doctor isn't the right person to treat acne.

you may have simple food allergies. case in point: my supervisor has had acid reflux and its caused scarring. he's been having choking problems even after they removed some scar tissue. come to find out that he is allergic to both beef and especially pork. his daily breakfast was a jimmy dean microwave sandwich, and lunch was ALWAYS some kind of ham sandwich.
He was pouring fuel on the fire by creating excess inflammation in his digestive tract.

Dairy, wheat, gluten, shellfish, pork...eggs...you can even be allergic to water in rare cases.

Hopefully its nothing that serious, and you can get to feeling how you want to feel :)
