Psuh-up replacement without using feet?

I jacked up my big toe on my right foot. About half of the nail is gone, and I don't think it needs to be said that I cannot get into the push-up position with that foot.

So what exercise can I do that recruits those same muscles without using my foot. I've thought about just crossing my legs and having my right foot rest on top, but the risk of banging my right foot is just beyond comprehension, and totally not worth the pain risk if my foot slips or I rock slightly to the side.

Suggestions?

put your shins on a bench so that the feet stick out on the other side, then do pushups. Will probably be a bit easier than regular pushups with feet elevated due to the difference in leverage, but it's something to do while you heal.

floor or bench dumbbell press or fly's
You can also use band pushing exercises
Remember to do some core work

As long as you do something until you recover it shouldn't be a big deal.

If you don't have equipment you can also do one handed push ups on the wall.

My suggestion is to never stop exercising even if you only do pulls on your workout is better than doing nothing.

Hope you get better soon

Bench presses. :)
