I need help, big time

Well I need some help?!?! I was once 280 pounds, and now I am down to around 185 =). But my girlfriend was also kind of a heavy lady too, and she kind of did something that dissapointed me. She became annorexic because she didnt want me to be skinny and looking good and her looking kind of fat. And because I am getting checked out a lot more ,she was getting jealous , and then she would try and take it out on me. What the hell? Is it really my problem i lost the weight and she was still fat? :pain7: Well anyways, because she didnt diet right she has nasty saggy skin and its sooooo gross. She lost 45 pounds in 2 months, so you probably have a slight idea. She is like 5'2 and she was 155 and she dropped to like around 110-115 pounds. But she has a lot of loose skin.

Here is my question, I know if you stretch it will tighten up and firm your skin. But can weight training also help her with her saggy skin issues? I heard from a personal fitness instructor if she toned out by weight training, it would take care of her saggy skin?

But these p.o.s at my gym are kind of retarded everytime I come on here and tell you guys the advice they give me you guys usually that they're retards.

Can you help me? What will get rid of all her nasty saggy skin?

Is this thread for real? are you really more concerned with your girlfriend's "nasty saggy skin" than her potentially life threatening eating disorder?

This is supposed to be a woman you care about.

.

I didnt even know she was annorexic. I was stationed in iraq, I saw her once every year. I am back now, and I just found out about it. Me and her got into a big fight over it. We still arnt ok about it, and it has been over 2 months. The reason why I made this thread is to help her out, so read it more closely. I lost a lot of weight over an 8 month period, no more then 8-10 pounds a month. I have been weight training for the past 6 months, and now im getting pretty bulky. She is very sensitive about her weight, she thought I was going to leave her because she was big and im not. So a couple of months before I came home she became annorexic, she told me she lost the 45 pounds over a 7 month period, she said she ate healthy and went running everyday. But as soon as I saw her, I could tell she was annorexic. We would fight everyday because a skinny chick checked me out, and I didnt care I love her. In her mind she thought i was going to get conceided and leave her, so thats the reason why she went annorexic. But now she has really flabby skin, she is taking it out on me again. =/ I am just trying to have a healthy relationship, I signed her up for the gym. I am going to try and help her loose her saggy skin, but I dont know what to do? And if I seriously thought it was so gross that she had saggy skin, I would just dump her. Obviously I care about her

Weight training can help a bit, but if its alot of loose skin the best option would be surgery, from what i've seen.

If you already know what you're going to do, and you you're not going to change your mind at all based on the advice we give, then why bother to post the question?

Because nobody has actully giving me advice besides weight training which I already said we are going to do, and no she isnt going into surgery for loose skin. So basically if there isnt anything she can do, whats the point in replying?

How serious is her loose skin? You can go ahead and try doing cardio/tone or w/e you think will fix it, though i disagree, but it might work for you maybe not. If it's only a bit of loose skin, she can start weight lifting to fill those areas out, if its serious then in my opinion no amount of exercise will ever make it look normal, getting the extra skin cut off is not that expensive.

then why did you say:
Hm I am just going to do cardio with her, stretch, and tone. I bet that will work..Thanks anyways
?

anyways, you could try to see a professional about it. I honestly don't know much about loose skin. sorry.

I'm not a doctor and I would imagine most of the people on here aren't either. But in my honest opinion there are a couple to consider.

1. Loose skin or not, weight training and cardio are good for her just to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Don't just do it for cosmetic reasons.

2. She should definately see a doctor for the eating disorder. A healthy diet and eating habits are just as if not more important than working out.

3. Only you and she know how bad the loose skin and all anyone here can do is speculate. i would suggest seeing a couple different doctors about it. If the concensus is that she needs surgery, then that's what should happen.

Only a professional can give you accurate advice about that. Being healthy is also a state of mind. If she unhappy with her apprearance, she will lose motivation to workout or she push herself to unhealthy levels (i.e. eating disorders)

I really think she should see a doctor for health and psychological reasons. After you get a professional opinion, you should have an idea of rout to take to fix your problems.

I wish you guys the best of luck.

Seriously, dude. You seem much more concerned about the saggy skin than the underlying issues that cause anorexia. You've done great work and props to you for losing the weight you did. But first, a gym membership doesn't solve anorexia. Second, you being so (negatively) concerned with her appearance (be it excess fat or excess skin) may only make her MORE self conscious and more likely to continue her eating disorder.

Doctor now, saggy skin later.
