AZN Journal 2007, the Cut

I just walked my dog and I'm feeling like **** all over. My stomach is killin me and alot of my muscles randomly hurt... Things I dind't notice until I had nothing to do but walk really slowly.

I'll probably need like 3 days off...

Did not lift today, shoulder stil a bit funny, not much, But I slept like 3 hours last night because of picing up relatives and getting back late and still ahving school today. Must lift tomorrow. Do not allow me to skip. Thanksgiving is not a pardon from lifting.

No worries, I drive myself to lift, no one needs to make sure I do it.

Benchmark day today

20 rep squat 185

superset
DB upright row
45x10
45x10
45x10 (each hand)
DB shoulder press
45x10
45x10
40x9

some dumb burns that i won't bother writing down

Today sucked

190 only 14 reps,
neck hurtlike hell afteward, like the two tendons at the base of the skull

bench 135x9 135x8 135x6
sucked too
bento ver row alright
125x10 130x10 125x9

Today the eye doctor told me some bad news. He had no idea why I'm showing dry eye the level that an elderly woman would have. The treatment like, plan he gave me is nearly identical to my mothers rheumatoid arthritis treatment (apparently dry eyes, mouth, and other stuff are symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis)

I can't possibly have rheumatoid arthritis at age 16 can I? That would blow... Speaking of unfortunate circumstances, my neck is killing me.

Neck hurts, had to stop 20 rep squats program. I think the pressure of the bar on my back had something to do with it. However, I do notice that I am significantly stronger afterwards even after only 3 weeks.

today
Deadlift, 5x5
205
215
225
230
230

and it wasn't hard. It was also the first time I've done deadlift in a month, so I expect even more next time.

DB shoulder press
5x5 50s each hand. easy.

pullups 8x3

today

too tired from 4 hours sleep last night, weak as ****

deadlift 3x3 245

DB bench 3x5 65 (each hand)

bent over rows 1x6 135

... not good.

i'm getting ready to start waterbury's 10x3

i also nearly crushed myself when i pretty much dropped the 65 pound dumbbells on my chest (slowly dropped) arms just couldnt' do it... weak.

began waterbury's 10x3 kind of

all are supposed to be 10x3 with 45 seconds break inbetween each set.
took it easy today

squats, leg's still hurt, so only 5x3
195

pullups 10x3

military press 10x3
85 (definitely movin up next time)

Was wondering about what kind of grip to use in military press though, closed or wide. Closed is easier for me, wide hurts my right deltoid.

slept like 2.5 hours last night, i think i'll start waterbury's after winter break. it's just not looking like i'll have the energy/sleep.

today
deads
205x5
225x5
225x5
225x4
225x3
wow, i really sucked on that

pullups 3x6

db chest press
65sx5
60sx5
60sx5

like i said i dind't sleep for more than 2.5 hours, and still failed my tests probably. considering that, my results weren't too bad.

I probably won't be keeping this log anymore. This isn't to stay I've stopped my cut or fitness goals, but I just don't think this is the place to keep track of my record anymore.

To date, I've lost 45 pounds, from 205-160. Between that time, I lost 35 pounds, gained 10 pounds, lost 15 pounds, gained 7 pounds, and lost 12 pounds. Total of 45 pounds loss. Bench has overall gone down, and never gotten back up, but I've seen tremendous improvement in every other activity. I may check back on here once in a while, but recent events have lead me to question the integrity of some members.

Besides, where as there used to be a vast array of fitness related threads, they are now replaced with trivial topics. Entertaining to read, but a waste of time.

I wish anyone that reads with good luck. and let me leave you with these words.

First off, it's sad to know, but true to remember that:
"The only exercise some people get is jumping to conclusions, running down their friends, side-stepping responsibility, and pushing their luck!" ~Author Unknown

Secondly, well, just read the quote:
"People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them." ~G.B. Shaw, Mrs. Warren's Profession, 1893

Finally:
"Remember, we all stumble, every one of us. That's why it's a comfort to go hand in hand." ~Emily Kimbrough

maybe a lot of random threads in the off topic section? I don't see how us joking around a bit and getting to know each other had compromised the integrity or quality of the forum..

Wow, never noticed this. Yea i dont understand either.

Thats why the forum is specifically divided into different areas. I think this forum is brilliant fot info etc. There's no reason why we cant have a laugh and have off topic threads in certain sections.

it's been a while, so, I came back.

Eitherway, I did get down to 150 pounds with 14% body fat, as opposed to 205 pounds 25% body fat, probably one of the greatest accomplishments of my young life, it's definitely the one which I am most proud of.

Recently healed from a car accident that put me out a few months, and i've started Strength I (Cosgrove)
