advice for 6 day program

Hi,

My whole work schedule is changing soon which means my workout schedule will have to as well. I'm thinking of lifting for 3 days, 1 day off, lifting for 3 days and so on like that. Can anyone suggest a good program for this. Trying to work all muscles enough in one week, but also allowing adequate rest, so im having a bit of trouble with the math.

Since that workout would leave you with only 1 rest day a week (then two, then 1 again, and so on as the weeks continue), and I assume you are not a body builder, I wouldnt do it.

I would do 3 full body workouts a week and a rest inbetween each (extra on saturday and sunday) or if you watned you could do an upper lower split. This way you'd robably do about 4 workouts a week. Breaks are very important.

Body part splits are inefficient at best for the general population (having tried body part split, and fbw-though I'll be honest it was only for 3 weeks, and now moved onto an upper lower split from The New Rules of lifting, I found the body part split to be least helpful.)

You shouldn't lift more than two days in a row.

-more is not always better
-muscles grow when resting, not when you work them
-split routines fade in the light of fullbody workouts(considering your not advanced)
-it is sufficient to workout 3 ties a week with an adequate full body routine

your having trouble with the math? what math? i hate math...i cant tutor you in that :/

now tell us about yourself and what your goals are.

Damn right we do! Or rather I have simple basic answers based on my limited experience and understanding where as you're packing the big guns and can elaborate on anything I say and add more info.

But I like to think of myself as helpful anyway. Oh and good at math.
